Farmers from the North of Neuquén

In very few places in the world does transhumance exist and persist as a method of animal husbandry. One of those places is in the north of the province of Neuquén where, every year, the breeders travel up to 200 kilometers herding their animals towards highlands, in search of better pastures, to make the reverse pilgrimage before  The first snowfall begins.

These images are part of a book, in project, which aims  portray men and  women who, with great sacrifices, keep alive a century-old family farming culture and mode of production.
